In Hudl Mercury, you have the option to edit the video you have captured. This process makes it easy to adjust the clips so they best suit your team’s needs, saving you valuable time.
This tutorial starts with video already added. For more information about adding video to Hudl Mercury, see the Getting Started with Hudl Mercury tutorial.
Editing Captured Video
Your clips will be listed on the left-hand side of the video player. Hudl will automatically detect any clips that will more than likely need editing and show them at the top in red. You can quickly edit these clips and do a spot-check of the rest to save you time.
You will be able to make the following changes to your clips:
- Split Clips: If you want to split a clip into two separate clips, play the clip to the location of the split in the video player and then press the Split button in the Clips Action bar.
- Delete Clips: If you find a clip you would like to remove, click on the clip and then click the Delete button in the Clip Actions bar.
- Merge Clips: If you want to merge two clips into a single clip, click the Combine with Previous or Combine with Next button while playing a clip.
Hudl Mercury also includes Undo and Redo buttons, located on the right-hand side of the Clip Actions bar.
Now that you have edited your captured video, the next step is to publish. You can learn how to publish in the Organize and Publish Video in Hudl Mercury tutorial.
