It’s that time of year again: Hudl is taking over Las Vegas. Half of the office is already there, working on hot new Hudl features to gear up for the company-wide retreat. Everybody else will join them Friday morning, which means our support lines will be closed all day Friday, March 28 and Monday, March 31. But that’s not to say we won’t be totally unreachable this weekend.

Jordan Searcey is fit. Healthy Hudlies is a thing around here, and it’s pretty obvious she’s an active member. She’s a huge asset in any interoffice athletic competition, and eats really nutritious things while the rest of us chow down on catered-in pizza, Chinese and barbecue - delicious, but not as good for you. Which is why we’re so thankful she leads Hudl Bootcamp every Tuesday morning.

Long story short: If Sporty Spice had a spirit animal, it would be Jordan.

It’s almost time to kick off our Hudl Up Tour for the third straight year. We’ve had such a great time talking to coaches during clinic season, that we aren’t ready to settle in back at the office just yet.

Chad has a lot going on. On top of celebrating his one-year anniversary at Hudl just a few weeks ago, he’s in the middle of “planning” a wedding. Add his fatherly responsibilities to the mix, and it’s pretty amazing he doesn’t require 12 hours of sleep a night. (We don’t watch him sleep or anything. He admits to snoozing a normal amount of time.) It must be his giant brain. How else does one person have so much software knowledge and a knack for movie quotes? Movie quotes require serious memory space!

We’re on a bit of a downhill slope with the Glazier and Nike COY clinic circuits coming to a close just last week. We loved getting to meet and talk to everyone at our stops across the country, and hope you had the chance catch a presentation or two from one of our awesome speakers: Ashley Broesch, Eric Broulette, Alli Pane, Jason West, Erin Wacker, Seth Prauner and Tom Grant.

Visit the Hudl office and you won’t miss Lyndsey Haag. Not because she’s tall or has prime desk real estate, but because she has quite the voice. You’ll always hear her before you see her; but it’s the happiest voice, so we refuse to complain. We just wish we could be that excited all the time. It worked well enough when she was in support - coaches couldn’t be too upset with her on the other end - but the girl was born to do sales. Seriously, good luck saying no to that face.

This is a big deal. Not a huge deal, per se, but pretty great. It’s not often we have an announcement that gets both sides of the ball excited. With the latest updates to Hudl Playbook, not only will the offense have a better building and sharing experience, but the defense now has tools of their very own. Defensive Playbook is officially live and, like our other play tools, it’s totally free until your next invoice is due.

Android users, get excited! The Hudl app just got a brand new makeover, and we think you’ll be pretty happy about it. There’s been so much love for iOS lately that we decided it was time for Android to get in on the action. When you log in, you’ll probably notice quite a few changes to the app’s design, including the smart new home screen and main menu. The brand spankin’ new main menu makes navigating the app easier, allowing you to toggle between features without hitting the back button over and over again.

February was full of changes for everyone on the Hudl team. With more than a dozen new hires coming down the pipe, and veterans changing roles left and right, there hasn’t been a dull moment since 2013. Hudl Support had a part in those changes, but we promise they’re for the better! We were already dedicated to providing you world-class support, but realized tallying the monthly numbers didn’t mean much if we weren’t comparing them to anything. So we came up with some new goals that we’re pretty excited about.
