Dominating the U.K. with Replay Analysis

We love Lincoln, Nebraska. It’s where Hudl was born and where we hope to continue growing for years to come. Not to mention it’s right in the middle of the United States, which is great when you’re a company working with teams from two of the nation’s most popular sports – football and basketball. Soccer and rugby, on the other hand, can be tricky. So, we recently acquired Replay Analysis, a London-based company used by some of the sports’ biggest names.

Our CEO, David Graff, said it best: “Long term, we want to capture and bring value to every moment in sports around the globe. We’ve long been aware of the popularity in soccer and rugby in Europe, and have a continuing interest in aligning with strategic talent that helps us establish a base to grow in this region and elsewhere in the world.”

Their list of users isn’t long, but the Replay Analysis team has done a great job of landing the top brands in their areas of expertise. Working with existing customers like Everton FC, Manchester City FC, and the English FA will be huge in helping us develop a world-class solution – a lot like our current relationships with NFL, NHL, and college teams across the U.S.

Even more exciting is the opportunity to work with three Replay Analysis team members in building these soccer and rugby products. Two product team members and one business development guru are already on board. One guy used to work for the top rugby club and all three are passionate about both sports, having grown up surrounded by Europe’s club structure.

  • And of course, more teams using Hudl around the world means more opportunities for seamless exchange and amazing enhancements for even better tools as we incorporate feedback from Replay Analysis and their customers.
