Why We Hudl Up

Alt textOur third annual Hudl Up Tour concluded last week, wrapping up a six-week, 18-stop circuit across the country. In less than two months, we were able to see more than 1,000 coaches face-to-face, hopefully showing them a thing or two they didn’t know.

This year’s football-focused tour took a close look at Playbook and Tag a Game, two of our newest and most popular features. We made sure coaches had the chance to try everything for themselves, encouraging attendees to bring their own devices and follow along.

During Week 5 of the tour, we released a major update to the iOS app, giving our coaches a totally different look and some new features, including Laser Pointer and telestrations.

We mixed up the this year’s itinerary with random school visits as our crew drove from one city to another. Brett Shamblin, our Ohio rep, took full advantage of the chance to see coaches in person by hitting five schools in one day. That drive from Cleveland to Cincinnati isn’t short.

Finally, we hope you enjoyed the tour’s three talented presenters – Ashley Broesch, Alli Pane, and Erin Wacker. Each took two legs of the tour and, in addition to racking up some frequent flyer miles, served as remarkable presenters for all 18 stops.

There was plenty of social media love throughout the course of those six weeks, but here are a few of our favorites:

Thanks again to everyone who came out, and a special shout-out to Ann Arbor and New York City with more than 100 coaches showing up to each stop (not much different from tours past). Everyone should be sure to check back this summer for details on our basketball-focused tour, set to tip off this fall!
