Android users, get excited! The Hudl app just got a brand new makeover, and we think you’ll be pretty happy about it. There’s been so much love for iOS lately that we decided it was time for Android to get in on the action.
When you log in, you’ll probably notice quite a few changes to the app’s design, including the smart new home screen and main menu. The brand spankin’ new main menu makes navigating the app easier, allowing you to toggle between features without hitting the back button over and over again.
The home screen has always been a thing, but this one looks a little different - it displays your upcoming opponent, as well as notifications and action items, like Exchanges, Video and Mobile Capture.
As awesome as the design changes are, we couldn’t stop there. Downloading and watching your video will now be a breeze. Instead of downloading your video and navigating to the old “Offline” tab to view it, you can access all of your downloaded playlists right in the Video menu.
Last but not least, coaches now have the ability to make exchanges right from the Hudl app. No need to get up and go to the computer anymore, or use your mobile browser to complete exchanges – this slick new feature allows you to send and receive opponent scout footage anytime, anywhere.
For more information on the new design and to see these features in action, check out the tutorial. And, as always, we’d love your feedback on the changes. – especially because we’re looking to make the same updates to the Hudl app for iOS – so hit us up.
The redesign is available for users on Android 4.0 or newer. If you aren’t on 4.0 yet, don’t sweat it, you can still download the older version of the Hudl app for your device.
