Briana Campbell has spunk. That’s putting things in the simplest terms. She’s always smiling, always having the time of her life, just making friends left and right. We have a feeling the pep in her step is partially (probably entirely) fueled by her deep love for pop music.
She’s also the daughter of Hercules, so there are probably powers of awesome that come with that title. Whatever it is, we like it. And her.
“I am from the great state of South Dakota, born in Rapid City, raised in Sioux Falls. My parents are Valerie and Hercules. I have a little brother, Zac, who is a freshman at KU this year. We have an 18-year-old dog named Chip, he is a toy poodle/shih tzu mix. I’m pretty much convinced he’s immortal.
“I played basketball and volleyball growing up, and started dance when I was seven and continued through high school. I was on the dance team for my high school and competed through the dance studio where I took regular classes. Along with dance I was a choir nerd, and a member of the speech team and student council. I love musicals. In December 2012, I graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln where I was an Alpha Chi Omega studying fashion merchandising and marketing.
“I learned about Hudl through my former roommate who interned while we were in school. After listening to her talk about the company every day, I had to be a part of it. I started in April 2013 as a Coach Support Specialist. You can find me giving soccer, lacrosse and hockey training sessions.”
Any big plans in 2014?
I’m going to the Justin Timberlake concert in February! That’s my biggest plan so far. I’m also suuuper excited for the Hudl retreat in Vegas! But I’m looking forward to everything 2014 has to offer.
What’s the best meal you’ve ever had? What made it so awesome?
I love pizza, so the best meal was in Milan where I studied abroad. We found a restaurant while we were just walking around and I had the best pizza ever, followed by fresh gelato. It was awesome because it was Italy, for one. Also because they just give you an entire pizza, but it’s much lighter than the pizza in America. And so fresh! It was a great end to a great day of sightseeing.
If you turned into a stalker, who would you follow around?
Beyoncé, without a doubt.
If you had to spend $1 million in one day what would you buy?
I would buy VIP tickets to a Beyoncé concert, a jet to get there, a limo and a suite.
If you had to give a tour of your hometown, what would the highlights be?
The Falls. You can’t go to Sioux Falls and not see the actual falls. The sculpture walk downtown and the museum at Washington Pavilion. If it happens to be the right weekend in July – Jazz Fest.
