AFCA 2014: Best Thing Since Sliced Bread

Alt textTo be honest, our 2014 AFCA trip didn’t get off to the start we wanted. Flight issues stranded eight Hudlies in Chicago on Saturday afternoon and left us with only five people to set up the Octagon exhibit at the Indianapolis Convention Center.

But what started as a crappy trip actually ended up being the polar opposite after visiting with coaches for the next three days. After all, we got to hear these quotes…

“Hudl’s the best thing since sliced bread.”

“My coaches said they were going to quit if we didn’t get Hudl this year.”

“Hudl saved my marriage.”

“We tried another product last year. It didn’t go well. My coaches threatened to quit if we didn’t get Hudl this season.”

Needless to stay, the banter helped ease our frustrations over travel issues, and we completed our seventh straight AFCA Convention with significant success.

Not surprisingly, the popular questions and excitement surrounded our Playbook and Practice Scripts. We collected contact information for nearly 250 coaches with interest in one new feature or another, and drew Michael Diaz of Fairleigh Dickinson University as our first winner of free Play Tools for the year.

We’ll do the same thing at every Glazier and Nike COY clinic in 2014, so come see us!

Among the thousands of coaches in attendance, we found several of our Division I clients and got the chance to talk recruiting - a popular topic with Signing Day only a couple of weeks away.

Thanks again to everyone who stopped by our booth! We hope to see you again this spring at a clinic near you.
