Camera Recommendations: Spring 2013

Hudl Spring 2013 Camera Recommendations

In a world of constant change and upgrades, it’s hard to tell if you’re using the right equipment. Luckily, we’re here to help!

Cameras are one of the most important tools in a coach’s arsenal, so we’ve compiled a list of several different cameras that we’re sure will help you dominate the upcoming season.

Why Hard Drive Cameras?

We feel the best work flow in any sport is to use post-game capture. Hard drive cameras give you this ability. Every time you press start and stop on a hard drive camera, an individual video file is created for that play or possession. Once the game is over, just plug the camera’s USB cable into the computer and upload to Hudl within minutes.

It’s much faster and more reliable than the live capture option, and your game is already cut into clips based on how you hit that record button.

Just check out our recommendations below and let us know if you have any questions:

Best Value:

Sony HDR-CX220

Panasonic HDC-SD80K

Best Quality:

Sony HDR-XR260V

Best Endzone:

Sony HDR-CX290

Sony HDR-XR260V

If you’re already using a camera that you love, make sure to let us know in the comments so we can add it to our list!
