Abraham Chavez spends his days making sure Hudl.com is running as it should and fixing things when they break. He probably just became your favorite person, but even when you get to know him, Abraham is quite the mystery. For example: He only goes by Abraham in the office. His closest friends call him Diego and chances are that a lot of Hudlies didn’t know that until right about now.
We could spend hours trying to convince you how soft-spoken he is, but take a glance at his life story and you’ll see exactly what we mean:
“I grew up in the Denver metro area, I really like Colorado and visit whenever I can. I worked in the financial, insurance and government sectors before joining Hudl, it’s a lot more fun here. When I’m not writing code, I like to write words and learn languages. I enjoy spending time with my younger brothers, meeting new people, finding new restaurants, and doing start-up things.”
What’s your favorite childhood memory?
When I was 11 I tried to build a robot using old disassembled appliances. Instead I caused a short and a small living room fire. I freaked out, then my parents freaked out, then we laughed. Then I was grounded.
If you became President, what would be your first order of business?
I would sign the “Check This Out Act of 2013” forcing Congress to wear tutus all the time.
What’s your favorite place to visit?
I’ve never been, but I’d like to live in Brazil or Italy for a while. Como vai? Come sta lei?
If you could make the sky a different color, what would it be? Why?
I would want a surreal Monet-like vanilla sky, because of the movie “Vanilla Sky.”
What’s your favorite part of working at Hudl?
The environment, having what we need, the shenanigans, the youthfulness, the irreverence, the innovation freedom, and the Hudlwear.
